William (Bill) Gibson

William Gibson, or Bill as his friends know him, became a Professional Engineer in 1961, when he graduated with BASc from the University of Toronto.

For the next decade, Bill was employed by Univac, a division of Sperry Rand as a computer marketing account representative and district sales manager. At Univac, Bill secured and handled major client data processing accounts for Metropolitan Toronto, and Ontario Hydro.

During the 70s, Bill entered his family retail furniture and appliance chain, (Gibson's Danforth Radio Limited), and managed the credit department. Later that decade, Bill became president in of the 14-store, multi-million dollar chain. During his tenure, Bill sold many of the store locations and developer several others in into commercial stores and stripe plazas.

In 80’s and 90’s, Bill restructured and renewed other retail enterprises, such as a Speedy Transmission, COCO SHINE an after market line of car clean, and PLUMBING MART.

In 2002, Bill began his foray into financials beginning with tax shelters, and now income producing private investment opportunities.

Bill was the first person to join White Capital in 2007.
